Studio Policies

Village Pilates Studio opened in 2005, has grown to provide the largest class schedule in the Chicago-land area. We strive to offer a supportive environment where people can practice Pilates regularly and as economically as possible, directed by the most highly trained instructors in the field. This is the mission upon which the studio was founded and what continues to drive us into the future. In order to ensure our ample schedule and maximize opportunities for participation, please review our studio policies and indicate understanding by downloading and signing the agreement.

Cancellation / No-Show (By Client) Policy


Please note that our 24 hour cancellation policy applies to all regular clients and clients with monthly unlimited packages.

In order to ensure that our clients have full access to all available classes, including all group classes, private lessons, duets or semi-private lessons, 24 hour notice for cancellations is required to avoid being charged full price for the class*.

  • If you cancel a class with less than 24 hours' notice ("Late Cancel"), you will be charged full price.
  • If you do not show up for your class ("No Show"), you will be charged full price.
  • If you have been added into a class ("Cleared") from the waitlist and are a "No Show", you will be charged full price.
  • If you sign up for multiple classes in a row and do not attend all of them, you will be charged full price for the missed class(es).
  • If you are "waitlisted" for a class and sign up for another class as a "backup", are then "cleared" and "Late Cancel" or "No show" for the backup you will be charged full price.

If you have an illness or emergency, you are allowed two missed classes per calendar year with no penalty. You must call or email the studio to request the wavier.

* In lieu of a separate charge, Monthly Unlimited clients will have a day deducted from their account.

Cancellation (By Studio) Policy


Group classes require at least 2 students. If there are less than 2 students registered for a class, the class may be cancelled. We will call and email you 24 hours in advance. We will give you the option of attending another class or taking a private lesson, at a discounted rate, at the same time as the cancelled class. If we need to cancel a class or lesson with less than 24 hour notice, we will find a substitute teacher, refund your class not taken or add an extra day to your account if you are a monthly unlimited client.

Due to the minimum attendance requirement, we encourage registration at least 24 in advance.

Refund Policy


All purchases and deposits are non-refundable. Exchanges can be made for upgrades or alternative packages.

Monthly Unlimited Policies


Please note that our 24 hour Cancellation/"No show" policy applies to clients with monthly unlimited packages. If you cancel a scheduled less than 24 hours in advance, a day will be subtracted from your account.

Suspending your monthly unlimited pass, or putting it "on hold", is allowed for vacations or prolonged illness/injury. There is a seven day minimum and only one suspension per month.

Returned Check Policy


Should your check be returned for insufficient funds, there will be a $25 fee. If the check is redeposited and returned again, there will be a $40 fee plus the original check amount (and the first returned check fee). Cash or credit card payment for all future lessons will be required.
